Kayleigh is 40 months old
Too bad we weren’t doing Q this week because we had a very Quiet week. Mackenzie was at camp so Kayleigh got to be an only child for a week. She enjoyed having all of my attention. This week our Tot School focus was Uu. Almost all of our activities came from COAH’s Letter of the Week program. If you haven’t checked it out yet, you should.
Kayleigh got to do some cooking this week. She helped make mini-pizzas for our lunch. She was so excited!
We had fun playing Zingo. We tied.
She got out her foam ABC blocks. She likes to organize them by color inside the bin. LOL Either that or build towers.
We played with out Leapfrog magnets on our new table top magnetic white board. So cool!!
She wanted to be a baby again. LOL
Eventually we got to our trays.
We sorted big and little Uu.
We worked on fine motor skills by spooning marbles onto an upside-down bath cling. She ALWAYS loves this.
We counted raindrops. From COAH.
She worked in her Kumon Let’s Sticker and Paste book . What’s not to love about stickers?
We practice cutting using Kumon’s Let’s Cut. This was my favorite activity of the week because she did SUCH A GREAT JOB cutting!!! She was pretty much on the lines the whole time. Woot!!
Then we taped the pieces together. Tape is a real treat for Kayleigh.
Her finished rocket!! She was so proud of her work.
She was so excited that she wanted to do another one. This time she turned it into a crown.
We did some letter matching from COAH.
And a Uu poke page.
U is for Umbrella magnet page.
Umbrella shape puzzles
Color-by-Number
Umbrella puzzleA last run at our garden sensory bin. And she found our in-complete July bin and added to it. LOL
Her buddy Morgan came over and they played near each other. LOL We went to the park and the pool.
And to the movies with MY friends. LOL Kayleigh didn’t want to wear the 3D glasses.
And that was our week. Click the Tot School button at the top of the page to see what other tots were up to.
Such fun learning! I miss those kinds of activities! Any suggestions for a "space" sensory bin? Sam's OT said that he just found the ones they had before he was discharged and suggested I create some. We're studying Apologia Astronomy in the fall. (Might take me that long to put one together! LOL) Moon sand? Where do you get your sensory bin ideas?
ReplyDeleteLove the pic of her in the sling. So cute. Looks like a fun week even if it was a quiet one! Coming thru from tot school.
ReplyDeleteI love how cheery your DD looks while she is doing her work! I didnt know that Kumon had a sticker book, I'll have to look for that one!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great week! I love the idea of using the bath mat upside down for the scooping activity!
