Kayleigh is 40 months old
This week we worked on the letter S. Normally, the base of our letter activities comes from COAH’s Letter of the Week curriculum. However, the ‘S’ unit focuses on snowman and it’s definitely not snow season here so we mixed it up with a smorgasbord of ‘S’ fun.
I have a thing for seahorses so I took the opportunity to make a few seahorse printables for Kayleigh. A little more summery than snowman.
Here she is stamping big S and little s as I called them out. This idea comes from 1+1+1=1 Tot School printables. We’re quite a few letters ahead of them though so I made my own since Kayleigh loves this activity.
You can download the S is for Seahorse stamping sheet by clicking HERE.
We rolled and graphed Sea Creatures. This came from the Girly Sea Creature pack at 1+1+1=1. Soooooo cute!
She did snowman building from COAH. She also did the snowman puzzle but I didn’t get a picture. She really liked it and wouldn’t stop until all the snowmen where in the right place. Next time we might try building the pattern next to the mat.
Our bristle blocks made an appearance. These are some of Kayleigh’s favorite toys.
I found this super cute Super hero unit from Musings of Me. Did I mention it was super cute? Here she was working on her counting and number recognition.
I made her a “What Color is the Seahorse? book. You can download the book for your tot HERE.
We sorted red, white, and blue Stars. Then she ate them with Sissy.
We sorted big and little s. From COAH.
We did a seahorse letter match that I made. This mat is modeled from COAH. You can download my seahorse mat HERE.
This roll and cover game also came from the Super Hero pack over at Musing of Me.
I made a seahorse color-by-number. It’s always a challenge to get her to color the whole page. LOL You can download the coloring page HERE.
She had her end of the year show at The Little Gym. This was her last gymnastic class. She really wants to do dance so that’s what she’ll be starting next week.
Here she is with her teacher and her two besties.
