First Day ~ October

I've just discovered a really neat meme called first day, hosted by Journey to Josie. How do you participate? On the first day of every month, just snap some photos of your day. Easy Peasy!  And how fun it will be to look back on these over the months.

The final walk through of our brand new house.

Closing scheduled for 2 p.m. on the dot. Except that the under writers apparently don't have to stick to the schedule. The paper work showed up one hour and 47 minutes late. But we finally made it in to start signing.

Happy to finally start. Sad to give away our money. Disappointed at the lack of pens to take home.

Finally the keys!!!!!

Now that the papers are signed, the bank-imposed spending freeze was over. Time to shop for the new house!

Just the tip of the iceberg pictured here. =o)

  1. Oh what a beautiful house! Bummer...the pens are always so awesome at title companies :)

I've been praying for you all! How are you guys adjusting to the "new" normal with diabetes?

  2. YEA!!! That is super exciting!!!

A new house with lots of possibilities! And I hear you on handing the money over. We just got a new (to us) car after saving up and even though that's what we were saving for and I love my car, I DID NOT want to hand that check over. All the sudden my 20 year old beater car didn't seem so bad!
