I'm still cleaning off my book shelves and offering up homeschool curriculum that I no longer need. I've got to make room for all of our future Sonlight cores. =o) Instead of sticking with my original plan of just holding a give away every Monday this summer, I've decided to take advantage of Homeschool Creations Curriculum Clean Out linky and give away something every day this week.
Today I'm offering up a brand new copy of Wordly Wise B. Never been used. This series never really appealed to my older daughter so we stopped using it. Ahhh, how wonderful to be able to use what works for my children. I love that about homeschooling.
Yes, I realize that my younger daughter might be able to use this one day but less stuff makes the hubby happy and it's fun to be able to bless someone else. Plus, she doesn't seem to like workbook type things all that much so I'm leaning towards this not being a win for her.
Wordly Wise is a filled with fun vocabulary-building exercises to strengthen students' thinking and writing skills. Students learn multiple definitions of words and use them in sentences and puzzles. This particular book is about a third grade level.

Having to decide which children's book is my favorite is difficult. I love reading! I always have. It makes my heart smile to see that my little girl is heading down the same path. Hearing narrate a book to me even a week or two or three after reading it makes my heart do a happy dance because she retains the information. So, since I love so many, I'll have to just pick our top 3 over the course of the last 3 months. Corduroy, Ask Mr. Bear and Caps for Sale. I never read these as a child so I'm enjoying very much now, even as an adult, and probably more so because I get to read them with my child.
ReplyDeletewe love stories such as Blueberries for Sal, the Llama llama books and Bob books!
ReplyDeleteIt's kind of silly, but No David is a favorite for all of us. I know it's not very complicated, but it is a lot of fun.
